Backpacking in yours 30’s

Who I Am?

And I’m a slow traveler. I care about feeling the essence of a place more than checking off a must see checklist. This journey isn’t about extreme budgets or luxury—it’s about balanced, real travel experiences that fall somewhere in between. And navigating Asia as a solo woman.

While building my career in tech, I realized that despite growing professionally, I felt stagnant in my personal growth. Society often suggests that in your 30s, the natural next step is settling down, committing to a job, a place, a person then children, but I wanted to explore other paths less traveled. Travel has always been a passion of mine—something I nurtured by using every holiday and PTO to explore new places. Through travel, I’ve discovered the joy of stepping into unfamiliar cultures, the clarity that comes from breaking routine, and the confidence to embrace challenges.

A series of events outside my control led me to taking the leap into the unknown and it has taught me to navigate new environments and has sharpened my problem-solving skills, adaptability, and resilience. This sabbatical journey of a year and half has broadened my perspective, enhanced my ability to connect with others, and reaffirmed the importance of stepping outside comfort zones to achieve meaningful growth.
